A wise and ancient stone. Petrified wood, is wood so old it has literally turned to stone. All the organic material has turned to stone. It is a grounding stone. A great stone for meditation. I like spheres to mediate with, even large ones are comfortable to rest in your hands, and the petrified wood has a lovely feel. Calming and restful.
